Iran’s gas injection passes target

Gas injection to storage facilities rose by more than 41 percent during the first month of the current Iranian calendar year that began March 21, 2015, director of dispatching at the National Iranian Gas Company, Manouchehr Taheri said.

Taheri said that during the first month of the year gas injection to storage facilities hit 49 million cubic meters, 19 million cubic meters above the planned target for this time of the year.

He further noted that gas injection to Shourijeh and Sarajeh gas storage facilities is going on as planned hitting 10 MMcm/d at present.

According to the NIGC official, the company could realize last year’s targets on gas storage that reached 1.5 bcm up by 50 percent against a year earlier.

Taheri concluded that gas injection to oil wells climbed as well and rose by 2.5 times during the first month of the current year in comparison to the similar period a year earlier.
