Italy: OLT Offshore awards five regasification slots

OLT Offshore LNG Toscana on Thursday informed it has allocated five slots for the regasification and storage bundled service. 

The tender was issued on April 1 with OLT Offshore LNG Toscana is auctioning a total of 1 billion cubic meters storage capacity.

According to the company’s statement, 12 bids were received before the deadline on April 19, however, due to operational limits, five slots were awarded.

One slot was awarded in June, two in July and one in August, OLT said without revealing the names of the winners.

The total quantity of the five allocated slots is bout 440 million cubic meters of gas that will be sent to Stogit storage system.

The cargoes will be delivered to the OLT Offshore LNG Toscana’s FSRU, anchored about 22 km off the coast between Livorno and Pisa. The FSRU has the maximum regasification capacity of 15 million cubic meters a day and a storage capacity of 137.500 cubic metres of LNG.
