Japan: Utilities Feb LNG Usage Climbs YoY

The ten regional electric power companies in Japan consumed 4.78 million tonnes of LNG in February, up 2.9 percent compared to February of 2013, according to the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan (FEPC).

The power companies bought 5.03 million tonnes of LNG in February, compared to 5.14 million tonnes of LNG the power companies purchased in February of 2013.

Power companies account for two-thirds of total Japanese LNG imports.
