Jo Tankers Duo Gets Charter Extension from Vitol

Energy trader Vitol has extended the charter contracts for two LR1 tankers owned by Norway-based shipping company Jo Tankers, data provided by VesselsValue shows.

Under the charter extensions, the 2012-built Jo Pinari and the 2013-built Jo Redwood will continue working for Vitol for another year for USD 14,250 per day per vessel.

The vessels were previously chartered by the company from December 2015 until mid-September 2016 for a price of USD 23,750 per day.

Featuring 75,022 dwt and 74,500 dwt, respectively, the ships are a part of Jo Tankers’ fleet of 6 LR tankers.

The company also operates a fleet of 15 chemical tankers and currently has seven vessels under construction, two which are scheduled to join the company by the end of 2016, while the remaining five are set to be delivered in 2017 and 2018.
