Contract Awarded for Flood Repair

The Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a task order contract July 1, 2013, to Newt Marine Service from Dubuque, Iowa, for $2,806,000 for the placement of about 92,000 tons of stone.

The work is being done to repair Bank Stabilization and Navigation Project river structures that were damaged from the 2011 flood.

This work will be performed from river mile 226 to 350, approximately from Glasgow, Mo., to Kansas City.
