Houston-based LNG engineer KBR has named Mark Sopp as the company’s new chief financial officer following the decision of the current CFO Brian Ferraioli to retire.

Sopp will join the company in the first quarter of 2017 and work closely with Ferraioli to manage the transition for KBR’s financial organization, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

From 2005 to 2015, Sopp served as CFO and executive vice president for Leidos Holdings, previously called SAIC, which is one of the largest publicly traded government contractors in the U.S. and also has significant technically-focused commercial professional services operations, including serving energy markets.

He also served in a number of executive positions with Titan Corporation, involved in government contracting and commercial business areas.
