The vessels are being built under the survey of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The customer is the Russia’s oil company Lukoil, and operation of the ships on a long-term charter contract has been entrusted to Bumi Armada. The ceremony was held on 4 October 2014.

The new vessels are designed to supply offshore development facilities of the Vladimir  Filanovsky field in the northern part of the Caspian Sea and ensure their safe operation.

The project envisages equipping the ships with systems for fire-fighting on fixed offshore platforms and transhipment facilities, as well as equipment for oil spill response.

Survey of construction is being carried out by a branch of OOO Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (Tianjin) in Shanghai. Construction is expected to be completed in September 2015.
