Klaipedos Nafta: LNG regas volume hits record level

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the first Lithuanian LNG terminal informed that sales revenues from the import facility reached €5.9 million in January, a rise of 9.3 percent as compared to the same month in 2014.

During January, LNG terminal regasified and supplied 1.071 thousand MWh of natural gas to the Lithuanian transmission system, up by 112.1 percent compared to January 2015, Klaipedos Nafta said in a statement on Thursday.

Lithuania recently received its seventh LNG cargo from Norway’s Statoil since the country started importing chilled gas in December 2014 in order to reduce its dependence on Russian gas supplies.
