Koch Shipping Hires Diana’s Capesize Bulker

Athens-based dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Singapore’s Koch Shipping for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels.

Under the contract, the company’s m/v Baltimore would be hired for a period of twelve to fourteen months.

The 177,243 dwt Capesize, which commenced the charter on June 6, is to work at a gross charter rate of USD 18,050 per day.

Diana Shipping expects to generate around USD 6.23 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The 2005-built m/v Baltimore was chartered previously chartered to Geneva-based Cargill International at a gross rate of USD 11,300 per day.
