Kongsberg, Hydroid to Host 2015 AUVX Users Forum

Kongsberg Maritime and Hydroid, Inc. have invited global AUV community to Annapolis, Maryland.

Attendees will be immersed in the latest information from the exciting world of underwater autonomy. Through interactive workshops, informative panel discussions and product demonstrations, existing users of Kongsberg and Hydroid vehicles will have the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge to optimize their vehicle operations and non-users will learn first-hand about the capabilities and applications of AUV technology.

“The 2015 AUVX Users Forum will be an experience that is not to be missed,” said Duane Fotheringham, President of Hydroid. “Kongsberg and Hydroid take pride in the AUVs we build, and we want our customers to be able to learn about, and enjoy, their unparalleled capabilities in a hands-on way. Our AUVX forum is o ne of the best ways the global AUV and glider community can exchange ideas and increase their knowledge of these advanced systems.”

The forum is open to all users of Kongsberg and Hydroid vehicles, with limited availability for non-users interested in learning more about the vehicles. The cost of attendance is $450 for all forum activities. The fee includes the welcome reception, presentations, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations and the conference gala dinner, with entertainment. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a planned golf outing at the famous Renditions golf course, and an Annapolis Harbor sunset sail. Attendees traveling with guests will be offered a guest day excursion to Washington DC.
