Lewek Express Mobilizing for Umbilicals Setup on Aviat

EMAS AMC’s subsea construction and pipelay vessel ‘Lewek Express’ is mobilizing from Oceaneering’s yard in Rosyth to lay umbilicals on Aviat field.

The vessel is currently loading umbilicals for the installation on Apache’s Aviat field located in Block 22/7A, in the UK North Sea.

Previously the Lewek Express completed the installation of rigid flowline on the field, EMAS informed through social media.

In June, EMAS secured the contract for project management, detailed engineering, procurement, and installation of rigid pipelines and umbilical via reel, flexible riser, spools, and structures and pre-commissioning for Aviat field.

During the project execution EMAS is utilizing its spoolbase, EMAS Marine Base Gulen, located on the West coast of Norway, where the fabrication of the 24 km rigid pipeline took place.

After the project completion Lewek Express will head back to the Gulf of Mexico and will be available for further work, the company further informed.
