The Dutch company LIQAL, has been awarded a contract to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling station for the Belgian transport company Remitrans.

Speaking of its initiative to switch to using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel for its fleet, Frank Coppens, logistics manager at Remitrans, said, “with the purchase of 9 ex-factory Euro-VI Volvo trucks, 15% of our trucks will run on liquefied natural gas this year, next year this will be 30%, with a future target to change the entire fleet.”

Remitrans selected LIQAL’s prefabricated refueling station which reduces time to market by a few months.

The concept matches the performance and contains all the technical high-quality elements of a fully-fledged LNG refueling station.

It is expected that the Remitrans LNG refueling station near Ninove will already be in use in the second half of this year both for its own fleet as for LNG trucks of third parties.
