Litgas to handle first small-scale LNG reload in Kaipeda
Lithuanian natural gas trading company, Litgas, part of Lietuvos Energia, is set to handle the first small-scale reloading operation at the Klaipeda LNG terminal.
According to the company’s statement, Skangas chartered small-scale LNG carrier, Coral Energy, is scheduled to arrive in Klaipeda on January 1-2.
Litgas informed that up to 15,000 cubic meters of LNG will be loaded onto the Coral Energy.
It will be the first small-scale reload under an agreement signed by two Lietuvos Energia units, Litgas, Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas and the Norwegian LNG player Statoil.
Under the agreement, the three companies chose a business model that includes LNG modulation services at the Lithuanian liquefied natural gas terminal and the natural gas grid from Litgas and LDT and wholesale supply from the LNG terminal by Statoil to clients for further redistribution to the small and medium scale segments in the Baltic region.
