Lithuania: Klaipeda LNG regas volumes up in October

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification volumes at Lithuania’s first and only import terminal in the port of Klaipeda jumped during the month of October.

The terminal operator Klaipedos Nafta’s data shows that the company’s LNG import terminal and its small-scale LNG facility have regasified and reloaded 2.70 TWh of natural gas in October, 281.2 percent above the 0.70 TWh recorded during the same period of 2018.

During the first ten months of 2019, the company in total regasified and reloaded 15.29 TWh of the natural gas which compares to 7.81 TWh during the same period of 2018.

Sales revenue from the LNG facility in October reached €6.4 million ($7 million) 18.5 percent above the €5.4 million reported in the corresponding month last year.

The preliminary revenue of the LNG terminal for the January-October period comprises €59.7 million up by 10.8 percent compared to the €53.9 million reported in the same period of 2018.
