Lithuania: Western Baltija Shipbuilding Delivers New Fishing Trawler

On 1th February Western Baltija Shipbuilding delivered new fishing trawler hull (NB58) for the Danish client “Karstensens Skibsværft AS”.

Fishing trawler hull “ASBJORN SELSBANE” is 55,0 m length and 12,80 m width. Refrigerated sea water tanks (RSW) with the 500m3 capacity, have been mounted onboard. Hull weight is 880 tons (950 tons with pipes and equipment). Baltija Western Shipbuilding with “Wartsila” company, mounted a complex of shaft-propeller on the fishing trawler.

The new vessel was equipped with pipeline, cable routes, main equipment and machinery. Classification society ″Det Norske Veritas″ supervised the construction of the fishing vessel. Final works will be carried out at „Karstensens Skibsværft AS“ (Denmark).
