LNG cargo heading for South Hook

The United Kingdom’s South Hook LNG terminal will receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar at the end of the week.

The 216,000 cbm Q-Flex LNG carrier, Al Kharaitiyat departed from the Qatari port of Ras Laffan and is scheduled to dock at the South Hook terminal’s jetty on January 8, the shipping data reveals.

This will be the second LNG cargo delivered to the terminal in 2016, as the 216,000 cbm Al Gattara LNG carrier delivered the first cargo on January 2.

Al Kharaitiyat LNG carrier was built at Hyundai Heavy Industries’ Ulsan shipyard and delivered in 2009.
