LNG carrier Aseem collides with VLCC at Fujairah

Liquefied natural gas carrier Aseem on Sunday sustained bow damage following a collision with the VLCC Shinyo Ocean off Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. 

According to the data provided by VesselsValue, both vessels sustained bow damage.

Images circulating in the media show that the Shinyo Ocean tanker suffered a portside hull breach.

The 155,000-cbm LNG tanker Aseem, managed by the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), is currently at anchor at Fujairah, with Shinyo Ocean tanker moved to a different location.

Shipping Corporation of India is yet to respond to an email by LNG World News seeking information on the extent of the damage on the vessel.
