LOC said on Wednesday that the scope of the contract included, but was not limited to marine assurance audits, dynamic positioning consultancy, surveying, and rig move support services.

Following this contract win, LOC will establish a new corporate entity in Brunei and will begin in-country services later this year.

Olof Koning, managing director South East Asia, said: “With the joint effort of various departments within LOC, this is the fourth Marine Assurance contract LOC Singapore has secured with a major oil and gas company in Asia this year.”

This year, Offshore Energy Reported on LOC signing an agreement with Chevron for marine consultancy, marine warranty, and assurance services work in Australia as well as being hired by Borr Drilling for marine warranty surveyor services and a rig reactivation survey.
