Louisiana LNG Energy FEED contract goes to Bechtel

Louisiana LNG Energy has selected Bechtel to provide front-end engineering and design for its mid-scale LNG export terminal currently under development in Louisiana.

The company plans to construct four liquefaction trains with production capacity of 2 million metric tons of LNG per annum. It also proposes to build LNG truck loading and marine terminal facilities.

Louisiana LNG Energy has secured a +/- 200 acre site on the Mississippi River downstream from the Port of New Orleans near mile marker 46.

The liquefaction project is expected to be online in late 2017.
