Magseis Strengthens Its Team

Norwegian seabed seismic services player Magseis has strengthened its team with several new appointments.

Tom Henrik Sundby has accepted the position as CFO and will join Magseis in April 2018, the company informed.

Sundby has more than 25 years’ experience in finance and management roles most recently as finance director of BerGenBio. Previously, he was based in Dubai, UAE, where he held the position as CFO of Polarcus for eight years.

Sundby holds a Master of Business Administration degree with Honours from BI Norwegian Business School and ESCP, France.

Magseis has also recruited a SVP Sales & Marketing who will join the company in April 2018 at which time his name will be announced, the company said.

The candidate has 15 years of seismic industry experience, primarily in sales & marketing with the last 10 years being in multi-client sales. He holds a Master in Geology from the University of Oslo.

Furthermore, Magseis has strengthen the geoscience team with the addition of Eivind Frømyr who has more than 30 years of experience in the oilfield service industry and has joined Magseis in February 2018.

Before joining Magseis he was chief geophysicist for PGS Marine Geophysical Contract division. Frømyr holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Physics.
