TNB, Petronas Plan LNG Terminal in Sabah

Malaysia’s power utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Petronas will jointly build a liquefied natural gas terminal and 300 MW gas plant in Lahad Datu in Sabah, the Star reported, citing TNB’s CEO Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohd Noh.

We are now starting the environmental impact assessment (EIA) and coming up with the engineering design for the plant soon,” he said.

The project will cost about $657.46 million with TNB taking majority ownership, according to the report.
