Marin Teknikk Enters Deal for New PSV in South Korea

Marin Teknikk AS, a company providing engineering services for shipyards and ship owners in the offshore industry has signed an agreement with Shinan Heavy Ind. Co., Ltd. in Korea for design and engineering of the company’s new PSV vessel.

The vessel is a Multipurpose Field Supply Vessel & Pipe carrier of MT6015 PSV design, with diesel electric frequency controlled propulsion, highly efficient azimuth thrusters and a dynamic positioning system, DP II. The vessel has a large under deck tank capacity.

The vessel has a length of 93.8 meters and a breadth of 20 meters, with accommodation for 25 persons. The cargo deck area is of 1060 sq.m., and have possibilities for carrying 5 pipe lengths.

The vessel is planned to be delivered in first quarter of 2013.
