Mexico set for more LNG from Peru

Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched another cargo of liquefied natural gas to Mexico last week.

The cargo was loaded on March 10 onboard the 136,600 cbm LNG carrier Galea and sent on its way to Mexico, data from the state-owned Perupetro reveals.

Last cargo, Shell’s LNG carrier loaded in Peru was delivered to South Korea, however, the latest cargo is probably heading for the Manzanillo terminal.

With the latest cargo, Peru shipped a total of 313 cargoes of liquefied natural gas since its only liquefaction facility began operations in June 2010.
