Mexico to receive more Peru LNG

Mexico is set for a new liquefied natural gas cargo loaded at the Pampa Melchorita liquefaction and export facility in Peru.

Shell’s Gemmata LNG carrier with a capacity of 138,104 cbm set off from the US$3.8 billion facility on Wednesday, shipping data from the state-owned Perupetro reveals.

The vessel’s final destination is likely to be the Manzanillo LNG import terminal in Colima state, although Perupetro has not confirmed it in its data.

Gemmata is carrying the 306th cargo dispatched from Peru’s only LNG export facility since it started operations in June 2010.
