Brooke Burke-Charvet, co-host of “Dancing with the Stars,” was the event’s master of ceremonies.

The 145,655 gross ton cruise ship, second of two Breakaway Class ships, was constructed in record time by MEYER WERFT, after a building period of only 15 months.

The cruise ship has a length overall of 324 m and is 39.70 m wide. The latest engine technology, the diesel-electric pod drive system, improved hydrodynamics as well as effective energy saving, heat recovery and ballast water treatment guarantee an ecological cruise experience at significantly reduced operating costs.

NCL has two more 4,200-passenger vessels on order at Meyer Werft. The first Norwegian Escape with delivery scheduled in the fall of 2015 and 2nd Norwegian Bliss with delivery in the spring of 2017.
