Michael King Becomes UK Operations Director at Swire Oilfield Services

Swire Oilfield Services Appoints UK Operations Director

Michael King has been appointed as new UK operations director at Swire Oilfield Services, the leading global provider of offshore cargo carrying units and associated services.

In his new role, Mr. King will ensure that the operational capability is fully developed, supported and resourced to provide the highest levels of service to all Swire’s customers served from the UK bases.

Mr. King has a vast background in operations, starting 22 years ago when working as an aircraft engineer in the Royal Air Force. Since then he has held management positions in engineering, production, logistics and customer facing with multi-national companies including; Michelin Tyres, Sunrise Medical and the Flint Group.

Newly appointed Mr. King said: “This is a really exciting time for me and I am genuinely enthused about joining the Swire family at a time when there is so much going on with regards to growing the business and developing the people within it. My first impressions are that everyone really enjoys working for the company and the enthusiasm I have encountered so far gives me great confidence that we have the right foundations to take operations forward and meet all the demands placed on it.
