MMA Members Pay Visit to Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport

MMA’s (Marine Machinery Association) members met at Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, Louisiana, on November 1, 2012. Jack Janetatos, MMA’s Chairman, called the meeting to order and led the group in self-introductions and descriptions of companies present and their products.

Dennis Fanguy, Vice President Quality Management System, Bollinger Shipyards, welcomed the group and gave presentation on the history of Bollinger Shipyards, its facilities and employees. He continued by addressing shipyard safety, customer relations, vendor relations, current programs, and efforts at improving business processes and eliminating non-value added activities.

Mr. Fanguy then led the group on a tour of the shipyard. The group then had a working lunch with open discussion.
