MV New Europe Sets Sail After Repair

On April 5th 2013, CIC-Changxing Shipyard completed the repair of MV New Europe enabling the vessel to sail away smoothly.

MV New Europe was berthed at Changxing Shipyard on March 31st. Her main maintenance included the entire renewal of No.3ACS hatch cover, the cutting of No.3 cargo hold inner bottom plate and the repair of two hatch covers adjoining No.3ACS.

It was the first time the container hatch cover was subjected to renewal. Considerable attention has been paid to the project, since the completion schedule was very tight, but due to timely planning, the renewal has been finished on schedule.

The ship owners were very satisfied that the shipyard overcame all the difficulties and completed the repair smoothly in the contract period, paving the way for continuation of cooperation.
