Nakilat Profit Drops

Nakilat of Qatar, world’s biggest LNG shipper, said its net profit in the fourth quarter was 176.5 million Qatar riyals ($48.5 million), down 13 percent compared to the same period a year ago.

The company posted a net profit of QR 729 million in 2013 versus QR 765.5 million in 2012, and the earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QR 1.32 in 2013 compared to QR 1.38 in 2012.

The Board recommended to distribute a cash dividend to the shareholders equal to 11% of the nominal value of its capital,” Nakilat said in a statement.
