Nautronix, KTP to Further Innovate Acoustic Product Capabilities (UK)

Nautronix announced the joint investment of over £180k funding in a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Aberdeen to further innovate Nautronix’s acoustic product capabilities, building on the strength of the established NASNet® system.

This partnership received financial support from the Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme (KTP). KTP aims to help businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK Knowledge Base. KTP is funded by the Technology Strategy Board along with other government funding organisations.

The collaborative KTP programme includes the placement of a dedicated academic Associate within the Company’s Technology team and provides access to University personnel and the use of a broad range of technical facilities.

Commenting on this partnership, Lindsay MacDonald, Director of Technology said: “We are extremely pleased to be undertaking this KTP with the University of Aberdeen as it not only gives Nautronix access to highly respected technology expertise but also demonstrates just how industry and academia can work closely together to the benefit of all parties and provide further innovative developments in the subsea arena within the oil and gas sector”.
