Monte Ulía, as the 156,000 dwt vessel is named, was delivered from the shipbuilder’s Puerto Real facility.

Ibaizábal Group ordered the four Suezmax tankers from Navantia, with options for two more, in 2015.

The two optional ships are scheduled for delivery in 2019, according to VesselsValue data.

When the first ship of the batch, the Monte Udala, was launched in October 2017, it represented a milestone for the shipbuilder as it was the first oil tanker to be built by the company in 20 years.

The 274-meter-long Suezmaxes are chartered to Spanish oil and gas company CEPSA and French major Total.
