Neptune said on Tuesday that it named Eko Lumadyo as the managing director of its Indonesian business.

Lumadyo will join Neptune from Mandala Energy Indonesia where he is currently the country president and general manager.

He has more than 30 years of experience in upstream oil and gas exploration, development, planning, operations, and commercial affairs. He started his career with Unocal as a geophysicist and progressed within the organization from technical leadership through to vice president of deepwater development.

He also held positions in Indonesia, Los Angeles, and Texas. Subsequently, Lumadyo held senior roles with Black Gold Energy, Niko Resources Indonesia, Santos, and PT Agra Energi where he was a founding partner.

Jim House, CEO of Neptune Energy, said: “I am delighted Eko will be joining Neptune. He has extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, most importantly within Indonesia.

“Following the start-up of Jangkrik last year, it’s an exciting time for him to be joining the Indonesian business and I look forward to working with him on the next stage of its growth.”
