Neptune to provide geotechnical support for PTTEP’s Cash Maple ops

Australian subsea services provider Neptune has been awarded a geophysical and geotechnical work scope by Thailand’s PTTEP at the Cash Maple field, in the Timor Sea off Western Australia.

The field is located approximately 680 km west of Darwin, 700 km northeast of Broome and 200 km south of the Indonesian coastline.

Neptune said it will acquire survey and geotechnical data to assist PTTEP in deciding export pipeline routing options from the Cash Maple field.

The work will be executed from the MV Offshore Guardian vessel, which Neptune currently has on long-term charter. It is a shallow draft survey, AUV, dive and ROV support vessel built in 2015.

The work scope also requires pipeline engineering services which includes; pipeline concept design and geohazard reporting, all to be supplied under Neptune’s head contract.

Robin King, Neptune Marine Services CEO, said “This opportunity represents further work for a valued client under a relationship which goes back many years, and demonstrates PTTEPs trust and value in the wide suite of Neptune services which they currently utilize.”
