Nevsky Kicks Off Construction of Project 23130

Nevsky Shipyard has begun construction of a sea tanker (yard number 901) of Project 23130.

The Project 23130 is a medium-sized tanker designed to store and transport fuel as well as dry cargo. With all steel needed for the construction of the tanker already purchased, the shipyard has started the steel cutting. The tenders for materials and equipment purchase are announced.

The keel-laying of the sea tanker is scheduled for April, 2014.

Draught overall – about 7,0 m

Deadweight at draught 7,0 m – about 9000 t

Maximum speed – 16 knots

Endurance – 60 days

Ship’s crew – 24 persons

On November 1st, 2013, the Federal Agency for Weaponry, Military and Special Equipment and Material facilities Procurement (Rosoboronpostavka), representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, and Nevsky Shipyard, LLC signed the state contract for the construction of sea tanker 23130 project.

Under the contract, the tanker is scheduled for delivery the end of 2016.
