New Bulker Handed Over to KC Maritime

China’s COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard has delivered a newbuilt bulk carrier to its Hong Kong-based owner KC Maritime.

The vessel, named Darya Jaya, was handed over following the recent signing of the delivery documents between the parties, according to COSCO Shipping International (Singapore).

Featuring 64,000 dwt and 35,900 gross tons, the new Ultramax bulker has a length of 199.9 meters and a breadth of 32.2 meters.

Data provided by VesselsValue shows that the ship’s current market value stands at USD 23.5 million.

The vessel was ordered in August 2014, and joins KC Maritime’s fleet of nine vessels, seven of which are bulkers. The company has four more vessels under construction at COSCO shipyards.
