New CFO to join Woodside in December

Australian energy giant Woodside has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO), effective December 1, 2017.

Woodside said in its 3Q 2017 financial report on Thursday that it appointed Sherry Duhe as the company’s new CFO. The company added that the appointment was subject to Duhe’s visa arrangements being finalized.

The CFO position at Woodside has been vacant since the former chief financial officer, Lawrie Tremaine, left to become the CFO of compatriot energy firm Origin Energy in February.

Duhe joins Woodside from Royal Dutch Shell, where she has held several senior international roles, most recently as vice president of finance unconventionals based in Houston.

She has completed assignments across manufacturing, lubricants, integrated gas, and corporate strategy with Royal Dutch Shell in the USA, UK, Netherlands, and Qatar.

Before joining Shell, Duhe worked with ExxonMobil, Duke Energy, and J.M. Huber Corporation in various countries in the Americas and Europe.

The newly appointed CFO of Woodside holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in accounting from the Louisiana State University and Master of International Business Administration Degree from the University of South Carolina.

Also on Thursday, Woodside said its 2017 production guidance was narrowed to 84–86 MMboe, mostly due to a later than expected start-up of Wheatstone LNG Train 1.
