Rever Offshore said on Monday that Barry MacLeod was named as the new chief executive.

The company added that MacLeod replaced Mark Bessell, who stepped down from the role last month, for personal reasons. Bessell became the chief executive of the company in June 2018.

MacLeod will build upon eight years of experience as a board director of the company. His roles within Rever included operations director, asset management director, and managing director – a post he held for the past five years.

He delivered projects across the North Sea, Canada, and West Africa with subsea contractors and consultancies.

Rever Offshore, formerly known as Bibby Offshore, completed a full rebrand in January this year following the transition to new ownership.

To remind, Fara Holdco Limited, the owner of the Bibby Offshore group of companies, decided to merge Bibby with Rever Offshore AS back in March 2018.
