Nexus, Santos Working to Restart Longtom Production (Australia)

Nexus Energy Limited (Nexus) advises that, further to the operational update issued on 14 January, in which the company announced that production at the Longtom gas processing facility has been suspended  as  a  result  of  an  electrical  fault, an offshore intervention program will  commence shortly.

A vessel with the capability to inspect and potentially rectify the electrical fault is due to arrive in the field on 1 February 2013, weather permitting.

The location of the fault that caused the suspension of production at the Longtom field could be within the Santos Limited (Santos) or Nexus  offshore facilities. All parties are working co-operatively to identify and remedy the fault and return the plant to continuous production as quickly as possible.
