Nigeria Port Authority: LNG Shipment Handled in 3Q Down 20 Pct

Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced the results of cargo throughput for the third quarter of 2013.

Report show that the total Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipment handled in the period under review amounted to 4,859,453 million MT showing a decrease of 20 per cent from the 2012 third quarter figure of 5,828,281MT.

“Our recent research revealed that generally each port is being shaped by the market forces dictated by the commodity demand and by the particular port user,” NPA said in a statement.

NLNG 2.27 square kilometers plant consisting of Gas production line, storage and refrigeration facilities, gas turbine electricity generators, LNG export and passenger’s jetties.
