Oil & Gas UK: Nominations open for inaugural New Young Professional Award

Oil & Gas UK has announced that nominations for the inaugural Young Oil & Gas Supply Chain Professional of the Year Award are open.

Oil & Gas UK has said that the awardees will be announced at the supply chain seminar on June 30, 2015 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

According to Oil & Gas UK, the seminar will be jointly hosted by Oil & Gas UK and the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).

Ken Cruickshank, Oil & Gas UK’s operations manager, said: “The quest to find the most talented people working in the field of procurement, logistics, contract management will be one of the highlights of the 2015 supply chain seminar, where delegates  will explore the theme: ‘Simplification – Can it be Standard?’.  The industry’s drive to simplify and standardise processes across the sector is one of a range of initiatives it has launched to tackle costs and improve efficiency in the current challenging business environment.”

Phil Broughton, Corporate Relations for CIPS, energy and oil and gas sectors, said:  “Finding the stars of the future is a responsibility we all share as these gifted supply chain professionals will help drive improvements, manage change and disseminate good practice.
