Norshore wins well intervention work off Indonesia

Norway’s drilling contractor Norshore has signed a contract with Pertamina Blue Sky Langsa for well intervention work in Langsa, Indonesia.

Norshore Atlantic completed the work for Shell on Malikai field offshore Malaysia on January 10, 2015. The company’s multi-purpose drilling vessel has since then been located offshore Labuan, Malaysia.

According to Norshore, the vessel is currently being mobilised to Langsa for start-up on this contract.

The estimated duration of work is 15 days, Norshore added in its monthly update.

The vessel was delivered from the Batamec shipyard in March 2014 and it can operate in shallow- and mid-water segment drilling, complete wells and perform complete subsea decommissioning (P&A). It is also designed for performing pre-drilling of top hole sections in deep water and well intervention operations with workover riser.
