Norway: Farstad Supply AS Sells PSV Far Viscount

Farstad Supply AS, a wholly owned company of Farstad Shipping ASA, has sold the platform supply vessel “Far Viscount”. The vessel, the smallest in the Farstad-fleet, is built in 1982 and has been idle in Brazil since last autumn. Delivery of the vessel to the new owner took place Tuesday 11 May.

The agreed price for the vessel is USD 630.000. This will give a booked profit of approx. NOK 1 million.

After the sale of Far Viscount Farstad Shipping’s fleet consists of 57 vessels (23 PSV, 32 AHTS and 2 SUBSEA). The company’s operations are run from Ålesund, Aberdeen, Melbourne, Singapore and Macaé by a total of 1.860 employees onshore and offshore. The company’s strategy is to be a major international supplier of large, modern offshore service vessels to the oil industry. We also remain committed to solid long-term charter profile for the fleet.
