Norway: Havyard Group Appoints New PR and Sales Manager

 

On the 1st of September Per-Jan Brekke joined Havyard Group as Public Relations Manager, and the same day Gisle Vinjevoll Thrane started as Sales Manager for Havyard Global Solutions. Per-Jan Brekke is 48 years old and comes from the position as sports editor at the newspaper Drammen Tidende. Per-Jan is originally from Fosnavåg and is trained in municipal planning and public administration.

The new Public Relations Manager has worked in media since 1988, including in newspapers as Møre, Fjordenes Tidende and the last 23 years in Drammens Tidende. There, he has worked a long time in substance areas as politics, local community and crime. The last six years he has been editor of the sports department.

The new Public Relation Manager will be responsible for building the Havyard brand in addition to internal and external communications and external media relations.

There is a rapid development both here in Fosnavåg and in the offshore and shipbuilding industry. Havyard has been, and will be, leading in this industry, and I really look forward to give my contribution to further strengthening the Havyard brand“, says Per-Jan Brekke.

Gisle Vinjevoll Thrane, the new Sales Manager at Havyard Global Solutions,is 39 years-old and comes from a position as Area Sales Manager at Ulstein Design & Solutions. Thrane moved from Oslo to Herøy three years ago. The new sales manager will be responsible for sales of Havyard design and system packages to ship owners building outside Havyard’s own yards.

They will both work at Havyard Group’s headquarters in Mjølstadneset in Herøy, Norway.

However, the competition will not be less forward and we must continue to develop product and organization to continue to be able to satisfy our customers with the products they demand. To do this we must be in close dialogue with our customers and have good knowledge of what the market demands of us.
