Simek Shipyard Completes Sea Trials for PSV C-VIKING

On Saturday, July 7th 2012, Simek shipyard started the sea trials for Platform Supply Vessel C-VIKING (Yard no. 126). After successful completion of the first phase of the tests, the shipyard continued with the overnight tests of the vessel’s engines running them at 100 % for 24 hours.

The crew onboard C-VIKING continued to test the ship’s equipment and systems over the weekend with the Fi-Fi (Fire Fighting) tests.

C-VIKING  of UT 755 LC is a development of the popular UT 755 series, designed specifically for supplying equipment to oil and gas platforms. The vessel will have an extended hull and larger deck space to increase the capacity for transportation of solid and liquid cargo.

The ship will be delivered on Thursday July 12th to Duh Boats 2 Parthership C.V ( Edison Chouest Offshore).
