STX OSV Bags Arctic Trawler Construction Contract

STX OSV Holdings Ltd, one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, has secured a new contract for the construction of one Arctic Trawler for Remøy Fiskeriselskap AS. Delivery is scheduled from STX OSV Brattvaag in Norway in the third quarter 2013.

The hull of the vessel will be delivered from STX OSV in Romania. The vessel will be of Skipsteknisk ST-117 design.

The overall length of the vessel is 74 meters with a beam of 16 meters. The Rem group is a long-standing client of STX OSV, managing both fishing and offshore vessels through Rem Maritime AS and Remøy Fiskeriselskap AS respectively. The group is domiciled in Fosnavåg in Norway.
