Norway: Yard Stay for Safe Scandinavia

Bergen Group Hanøytangen is awarded contract for a yard stay for the accommodation rig Safe Scandinavia in April this year. The contract value for Bergen Group Hanøytangen is estimated to NOK 15-20 million.

The contract also includes an option for a shorter yard stay during summer 2012.

Safe Scandinavia, which is operated by Prosafe Offshore Limited (Prosafe), will during the yard stay be mobilized for a new assignment, and there will also be carried out inspections and some modifications.

Safe Scandinavia was built in 1984 at the Aker Verdal yard to an Aker H-3.2E design. The rig was the first floating accommodation unit to be awarded Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the Norwegian  Petroleum Safety Authority.
