Norwegian LNG cargo heading for Spain

The latest LNG cargo to be loaded at Statoil’s Hammerfest terminal in Norway has been dispatched to Spain.

The 165,500 cbm Meridian Spirit departed from the LNG export plant on Melkøya island on Sunday and it is due to arrive at the Barcelona terminal on September 4, shipping data shows.

Teekay acquired the Meridian Spirit in 2012 from Maersk together with five other LNG carriers.

The double-hulled LNG carrier was built in 2010 by Samsung Heavy Industries.
