NPD, Rosnedra Sign Five-Year Cooperation Deal

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) will continue its cooperation with the Directorate for Mineral Resources in Russia (Rosnedra).

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) will continue its cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation (Rosnedra).

The five-year agreement was signed by the Director of Rosnedra, Alexandr Popov, and Director General Bente Nyland on 14 June.

“The cooperation mainly covers geotechnical projects in the northern areas. However, it may be relevant to include other parts of resource management in this work,” says Nyland.

The NPD and Rosnedra have cooperated since 2008.
