Ocean Energy Europe seeks new policy chief

Ocean Energy Europe is looking to appoint a new Policy Director who would be in charge of promoting the next generation of ocean renewable energy technologies.

As a Policy Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the advocacy strategy and its implementation for the Brussels-based industry group representing the renewable ocean energy sector in Europe, the Ocean Energy Europe (OEE).

The new appointee will be replacing the current Policy Director of OEE, Jacopo Moccia.

The organization acts as the main link between Europe’s ocean energy industry and the EU institutions, and EU Member States, with the aim of accelerating the development of ocean energy sector.

Working in close cooperation with the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, the scope of work for the role entails defining yearly policy/advocacy strategy in line with OEE objectives, along with conducting or managing policy analysis to generate data and define main messages.

Also, providing input to EU funded projects, both in the proposal, and in their implementation and management stages, is one of the responsibilities identified for the role by OEE.

The deadline to apply for the position is set for September 25, 2017.
