Odfjell Drilling Provides Engineering Services for Lundin

Lundin Norway AS has awarded Odfjell Drilling a frame agreement for engineering services. The first project comprises verification of the rig Safe Boreas which is under construction.

“We are pleased to announce the award of an engineering frame agreement with Lundin Norway which we see as a very attractive client on the Norwegian continental shelf. Our objective is to contribute to their future successes,” says CEO Simen Lieungh in Odfjell Drilling.

The new engineering frame agreement has a duration of two years with the possibilities of extensions. The scope of the frame agreement includes project management, drilling facilities engineering, feasibility and concept studies, EPCI project execution, marine operations and AOC related support services.

The first project call off is already initiated. This is a verification project of the new accommodation rig, “Safe Boreas” owned and built by Prosafe.

Odfjell Drilling provides a wide range of engineering and project management services to rig owners and oil companies. The company has developed its engineering services in Bergen, Stavanger, Stjørdal and Manila, Phillippines.

Odfjell Drilling Group celebrates in 2013 its 40 years anniversary as an international drilling contractor providing mobile offshore drilling units for harsh environment and ultra deepwater drilling operations, platform drilling, engineering and well services. The company currently operates six modern harsh environment and ultra deep water drilling units in Norway, Tanzania, Angola and Brazil.
